Questo libro di Mario Ramos, IL LUPO CHE VOLEVA ESSERE UNA PECORA, è stato per me una vera sorpresa. Inizialmente, D lo aveva scelto in biblioteca per caso, complice la risata che avevamo fatto nel leggere il titolo. Mi aspettavo una storia sulla capacità di accettare se stessi e sulla necessità di riconoscersi in un gruppo, ma mi sbagliavo. L’idea della pecora è solo un malinteso che riesce a celare astutamente il messaggio vero della storia. Una spinta al coraggio, alla fiducia in se stessi e alla capacità di superare le avversità e i pregiudizi per raggiungere il proprio sogno. D non ci ha prestato molta attenzione, ma per me è stata una occasione in più per confermare che anche – e soprattutto – i libri per l’infanzia possono raccontare grandi temi con semplicità.

This book by Mario Ramos, THE WOLF THAT WANTED TO BE A SHEEP, was a real surprise for me. Initially, D chose it the library by chance, thanks to the laughter that we made reading the title. I expected a story about the ability to accept themselves and the need to identify within a group, but I was wrong. The issue of the sheep is just a misunderstanding that cleverly concealed the real message of the story. A boost to bravery, self-confidence and ability to overcome adversities and prejudices in order to achieve your dreams. D did not pay much attention, but it was an opportunity for me to confirm that also – and above all – children’s books can tackle great themes with simplicity.
